Scholarships for someone who has never been to college

Postby djlachman » Thu Feb 05, 2009 8:56 pm

I am looking at going to college, first time, and want to know, can I get a scholarship without being enrolled in school yet? I am a mature woman who has raised two children. I want an education for myself now. Thanks!

Most of the time you need to show proof of enrollment in order to receive a scholarship. Companies that give out scholarships want to make sure the money is going to a school and not anywhere else. My advice is decide what school you want to attend, fill out the FAFSA form, to see what federal aid you are eligible for, and then start scholarship searching. A good site for this is http://www.studentscholarshipsearch.com
