FAFSA for 2009-2010 asking questions about 2007?

I'm filling out FAFSA for the 2009-2010 school year, and the questions on the online form are mostly about 2007, whereas the printable PDF form's questions are all about 2008. Why is this happening? What should I do?

Hi, if you are filling out the FAFSA online at fafsa.ed.gov, and you chose the correct 09-10 school year, then the questions should all be referencing 2008, not 2007. I have a feeling you are filling out a fafsa for 08-09 school year.

I ran into the same problem when I was using a newer version of FireFox to fill out the FAFSA form. Even though you chose the 2009-2010 form, it defaults to 2008-2009 for some reason. The only way to fix it is to use an older version of Internet Explorer to fill out the form.

The FAFSA for the 2010-2011 school year is available after January 1, 2010.
