Before my fall semester began I applied for a Financial Aid Grant. I listed my Dad as a dependent, and even though we barely make ends meet as it is, I was denied the grant. Although we can barely afford the loan, I took it anyway.

A few days ago, my Dad was laid off from his job, so now there is no way we'll be able to afford the loan. Now that he's out of a job and I'm only working part time, is there any possible way I could change my loan into a grant?

If not, is there any way I can reject the rest of the loan I accepted and just pay for the classes I'm already taking?
