To make a long story short.. I worked for the IRS and had a past due health insurance premium to pay (from when I quit and my coverage continued). I was called by their collection department and was told by the guy who called that if I did not pay this, it would come out of my tax refund... fine. He also told me that if this happened, I would not be eligible for financial aid anymore. Is this correct? If the bill was paid whether out of my refund or my pocket.. it would be paid so why would it interfere with my financial aid.
