how can i apply for financial aid if i live on my own , my parents live in another country and they just cant help me pay for college , they dont have the money?

You are still required to file the FAFSA and will need to provide parental information if you are a dependent student, even if they cannot help pay for school. In certain circumstances, student can appeal their dependency status, but unless you meet very specific criteria, you will most likely need to include their information on the form, converted to US dollars.

If you have more specific information about filing the FAFSA you should contact your financial aid office. It's often much easier to sit down with someone from that office in these unusual cases.
