Hello, I am currently a high school senior in the United States who will be enrolling in a college in Japan next year. I was wondering whether I could use the Federal Stafford loans (both subsidized and unsubsidized) in this situation.

I received a Stafford loan through the awards letter from my daughter's school. I want to get more from the Stafford loan do I apply for more through the website or do I go through the University. My daughter is paying her own way through college and I am looking for loans that she can apply for.

I went to my school today, and they are telling me I am unable to receive a Stafford loan because I have to many college credits? This seems odd to me. I have searched all over the net, and can not find anything stating this as a limiting factor. Can anyone please fill me in on this issue?

I'm attending a Community College in the fall. I filled out the fafsa, and my EFC is 2990. It is 191 per credit, and I'll be taking 15 credits per semester.
