Hi, Just a warning, as I am struggling with this now: If you take out a private loan through CitiBank's CitiAssist program, the fine print stipulates that the 'in school deferment period' can end at any time, EVEN if you are still in school. Citibank extends the in school deferment 'as a courtesy' and so the bank can decide when and if a student needs to repay, even while they are still enrolled fulltime. For ...

First, I have been conditionally approved for the private loan i applied for, and it should start the certification process soon.. my question is; If my federal loans cover the cost of my education, will I receive the entire amount of the private loan I requested?

I did not go through all this when I went to college and frankly I am in the dark. My daughter attended her first year of college and wil be returning in Sept. for her next year.
