Loan Consolidations

Postby forevertaboo » Tue Apr 07, 2009 3:59 pm

According to the Sallie Mae website, I have nine loans... four are Stafford Subsidized loans and five are Signature Student Unsubsidized loans from different lenders.

I am about to graduate in May and I am talking with the collections group of my school about Exit Interviews - they are telling me they can reduce the payments on my loans that I have at the school, but I don't know which loans are able to be consolidated and which ones aren't. I'm unsure as to what to do or who to talk to. I've tried talking to my Financial Aid office at my school but they've told me they can't help me. Is there a specific group I can speak to who can work with me personally on my loans and the process of consolidation? Thank you in advance!

Loan Consolidation is a great option when one wants to increase ones monthly cashflows. Loan Consolidation merges all your loans into single loan policy thus increases the duration of the loan which as a result reduce monthly payments. Loan consolidation breaks into two types private loan consolidation one dealing with your private loans and federal loan consolidation which deals with your federal loans
