Grad Plus Loans Credit Check

2 questions:
1.) Can I consoladate Grad Plus Loans? If not can I consoladate Grad Private Loans?
2.) I'm planning on moving out of state next year and I know i'll need Grad Plus loans which I don't know this semster or next. I know my credit has a few blemishes.. Is there any way I can check to see or apply now just to see if I qualify for the funds. I don't want to move and be stuck w/out funds.
