FAFSA requires that I maintain a 2.0 average, a few years ago (while still in highschool) I took a few quarters of class's that gave me a GPA of 1.18 (or something like that). Flash-forward to now, I took 1 5 credit class last quarter on my own dime and got a 3.5 (bringing my cum GPA up to 2.83, it was a retake), then this quarter I am taking 17 credits. One of my 5 credit classes there is a possibility that I won't receive a 2.0 in the class (I know stupid), I already filed for FAFSA and wrote a petition to be reinstated on the grounds that my cumulative GPA will be over a 2.0 in Winter (which is when I want financial aid).
Now my cumulative will likely still go over a 2.0 as a result of my other 12 credits, but if I get below a 2.0 in one of my classes will I remain 'terminated' since I haven't been reinstated or will I then be put on 'probation' so that I can prove myself next quarter?
I have never had financial aid before and had always paid for it myself, but recently its gotten to tough to cover the costs and I won't be able to go to college next quarter without financial aid.
