Consolidated Previously

From my first grad degree, I have already consolidated one set of federal loans (Stafford) and, in addition, had alternative loans. Currently, I am finishing up my second grad degree, so my questions : (All loans from one lender)

1. Can I consolidate all my federal loans, even if I have already consolidated my federal loans from a prior degree?
2. Can I consolidate all of my loans (federal and alternative) into one interest rate?

The answer to your first question is yes. If you received additional federal loans after your first consolidation you can consolidate again. The answer to your second question is no. You cannot consolidate federal and alternative student loans together. For more information on both federal and alternative student loan consolidation check out Student Loan Consolidator: www.studentloanconsolidator.com.
