I would like to apprentice with a barber and would like to know if he has to be accredited to except federal money? I was awarded a stafford loan through fasfa. The school I had put on the list of educators told me that I qualifed for $9000. I would prefer to apprentice with a barber who has his instructors lic. Please help.

Yes. A school has to be title IV certified to qualify for federal financial aid. My suggestion would be to enroll in school and try to do an internship through the school to get hands-on experience.
