I need help a.s.a.p. I am currently taking online classes at a community college in the city in which I live. I am a sophmore, and this will be the last year that I am considered a dependent. This does not help me this year as, I have no one that can or will provide their signature as my cosigner. So unfortunately, private loans are out of the question for me. I am still eligible for the stafford loan, however I just learned that my college is not on the Stafford lender's list of approved schools. I am running out of time to get the money that I need. It took everything I had in me just to get my mother to fill out her portion of my fafsa. I was lucky enough to convince my grandfather to give me a loan for tuition only, so that I would not lose registration for my classes, because I had yet to receive my student loan. He did this only with the understanding that as soon as I received my student loan that I would promptly repay him. I need to repay him, purchase textbooks, and I need to purchase a new computer (mine is one day younger than the Earth itself) among other things that I need for school. I am just about to enter my third week of school, and am running out of options. Are there any other federal loans that that my school may be on, or is there a way to get my school approved for the stafford loan? Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions? Thanks.
