This is my first time getting a Student Loan and my first time in College really.
I'm trying to figure out when I might possibly be getting my loan though. It's about to be the third week of school, but I really haven't heard anything other than a schedule date for something which was about 2 weeks ago. Do they kind of randomly disburse the funds or is there something else that goes on?
I'm just getting worried because I haven't been able to buy my books yet with me not having any extra money. I've been using the books in the Library, but they are sometimes being used.
Just trying to possibly have some light shed on this so I can stop worrying.

With student loans there is usually a holding period at the beginning of the semester. Sometimes loans are not disbursed until well into the semester. Have you checked with your financial aid office to see if they have received the loan? If not check with them to ask when you can expect the additional funds.

Yes, I called them today, and they are in Processing currently according to my school. They wouldn't give out any more information though, but I ended up calling the provider and they said they are waiting on the certification that I am enrolled in the school and so on.
