Lifetime Stafford

Postby Tancy » Sun Jan 24, 2010 6:22 pm

My daughter was granted a Stafford loan this year but did not accept it because she did not need it this year. Will she still be able to get this year's amount plus next year's amount if she needs it? Or will she only be offered next year's amount if she qualifies and needs it?

An amount will be awarded based on the information you submit on your FAFSA. If the amount she is awarded is not sufficient she can always request additional funds with the financial aid office.

This I already knew. But what about the "lifetime" Stafford. Is the amount she did not use that was offered to her this year going to be available to her in the future if she needs it then?
