I already have a subsidized/unsubsidized Stafford loan for my college tuition; however, I need to acquire a private loan for my stay at an art residency in Vermont before I graduate this year. Would I still be able to apply for a Stafford private loan, then? And, if so, what do I do if my school is not listed?

First of all, Stafford loans are not private student loans, but rather federal student loans. If your school or program is not title IV certified you will not be able to take out a Stafford loan.

...then why is there a private loan option on the website?
